  • these are not real oakleys. realized it as soon ...

these are not real oakleys. realized it as soon as i opened my package and the glasses were not in the oakley microfiber sleeve. also, all real oakleys have "Made in U.S.A." stamped on the inside of the frame, these do not. even if people claim its because the are a SI (standard issue) pair that thats why they dont, they are wrong. i have 6 pair of SI oakleys and looked on all of them and they all have the stamp. these are fokleys.

  • I believe these are fake

When side by side to my store bought oakleys these appear to be fake.... obvious sharp edges on plastic and feel somewhat lighter... lenses scratched after 2 days of light use.... card board box they came in is very thin lacks quality...

  • lightweight, nice look

Lightweight polarized glasses with good side-to-side coverage, but they could be wider. They feel comfortable on my head and ears. Looking through them, color representation is good and distortion minimal. I only tested against the relatively weak early Fall sunlight here.

If you have a wider face (I consider mine "average wide" male, but I do wear a L/XL hat), you may feel like I did, that there's a little too much gap on the sides. I prefered the Under Armour Ignitor glasses, a very similar cut and also polarized, but slightly wider lenses, slightly wider ear pieces, and notably cheaper. I went with those instead of the Oakleys.

Like probably most of the people reading these reviews, I'm looking for the ideal sun-gigs, without having to spend as much (money or effort) finding them in bricks&mortar stores. Hopefully my review helped some folks. These are nice glasses, no real complaints, but they could be cheaper and wider.

  • Not pleased

I purchased two of these sunglasses, one each from separate vendors. The other pair, with green accents, came to me in perfect condition. These arrived with the left side arm curved correctly and the right side nearly straight. When wearing them it is as though they are pulled in tighter on the right side due to this flaw. When looking at them while holding them the flaw is obvious. It took me a week to realize the issue because I wore the other pair that long before switching to these in the other vehicle. I assume I will need to take them to a store for heating and shaping, if that can be done to Oakleys. I've never in over 10 pair of Oakleys had this happen before. It was not due to shipping, I just got a high-priced pair of misshapen sunglasses.

  • mixed feelings

i received them today, but it seems that it was an open box...as you can see on the pic the tab was already pulled before, corner of the box damage, one plastic bag on 1 branch of the sunglasses but not on the other one ?.... nothing seems to be missing on the inside. im wondering if some clear "plastic" is supposed to be on the lens to protect them (some manufactor do that and we just peel it off before using them for the first time)

  • Awesome Sunglasses

This is my second pair of Oakleys. The first pair which I still have lasted 9 years! I took good care of them and so they lasted quite awhile. The lenses are polarized and they make for a very good eye protection. I believe in the phrase "buy once, cry once" and while these probably aren't the most durable glasses on the market, nor the most expensive, they are completely adequate for everyday use and provide excellent glare reduction. If I had to think of any cons regarding these glasses I would say that it's quite a chunk of money for only plastic materials.

Not As advertised. Had to send these back because the glasses shown here is not the glasses you get. The lenses had a totally different shape

  • overpriced

paper thin (or maybe 2x plain paper thickness) box , when received, box was distorted. this is a very expensive luxury item, and they can't even include an box that's a little thinker to protect it.

one nose pad was torn a bit when putting it on, makes me uncomfortable about the quality of the glasses
my first oakley, nothing magical about it, I guess I am buying the brand, at least it's comfortable.
i got it on sale, definitely not worth the regular full price

and just a note: black iridium is too dark for anything but bright sunlight
