  • and they look too cool for school to boot

I was slightly concerned having read a few of the one star reviews that these might be fake. They are not.
In particular, there is a review indicating that there is not supposed to be a hole for a screw under the ear pieces at the temple where they attach to the main frame. All my other Oakleys do not have this hole. This pair does. The box is clearly new and unopened. All expected paperwork was included. It looks right. Nonetheless, I was suspicious... I called Oakley and provided them with the ID#. It fits the make and model. I asked the lady at Oakley about the hole. She did not know. She left me on hold and asked around. Nobody could tell me one way or the other. I looked for youtube vids and pics online and couldn't fuind one of the underside. I was told to go to an authorized dealer. Just came from Sunglass Hut at Warwick Mall. The kid there knew exactly what I was talking about. This model has a push type screw hooking the ear pieces to the fram at the temples. Spot on. Got exactly what I asked for. No complaints. ....and they look too cool for school to boot

  • Spend the extra few dollars and get polarized lenses!

The only negative that I have about these glasses is the result of my wanting to save a few dollars. I wish I had gone with the polarized lenses. I believe that it would have helped with the glare reduction and eye strain. All of that is my fault, though.

As far as the glasses themselves, they are what you would expect from Oakley. They are well made, extremely light weight, and look great.

  • Exactly as described...and REAL

Perfect. Some of the reviews claim they are fakes due to a 'pin' that holds the temples to the face of the frame. Well, I got these to replace a pair I got from LensCrafters with RX lenses. LensCrafters wanted $140+ just for the frame. Comparing my new ones to the old set of KNOWN real Oakley's - they are identical, right down to the PIN that IS in the temple of the frames on each side. They came with the exact same literature, spare bridge pieces...the only thing that was not there is the hard case that came with my set from the store (that I never ever used).

I cant speak to the clarity of the lenses that came with them as I will never use them, and did not use the normal lenses when I got my pair of RX Half Jackets.

  • ? Fake Oakleys

I am questioning whether these are real Oakleys or not ! The sunglasses I received don't have the typical O on the side that my others have and the A in OAKLEY on the front above the nose piece has already rubbed off. They have only been worn an hour! Typically, Oakleys stand up much better to wear and tear! Not too happy with this purchase at all!

  • Chinese knockoffs

I just received my 2.0’s and I’m concerned that these are knockoffs!
I have my original box where I actually purchased at the store and they are completely different, main thing is my original box says “made in USA” and new box says assembled in USA
Also, the directions/description is English one side Chinese other side. My original all English

  • Just what I wanted

I’m an Oakley fan and these are definitely up to par. I have Flak Jackets and original Half Jackets needing to be replaced. These fit a little more snug but comfortable. I also bought some after market XLJ polarized lenses made to fit the 2.0’s and they popped right in no problem. The Oaks aren’t for everyone but they are for me.

  • Great Protection, Look great doing it.

Outstanding eyewear. Took my very first pair to a couple of Combat theaters. They performed a lot better than the issue eyewear, I decided after retirement, these will become my everyday casual eye protection. Thanks OAKLEY...

  • Extremely happy that I did

I wasn't sure if it would be worth it to purchase a name brand pair of sunglasses. I am use to using Walgreens specials. However, I wanted a new style and thought I would try these. Extremely happy that I did! The material of the frame may not be that much different from much cheaper sunglasses but the lenses are extremely clear and make all the difference. These are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. Took them with on vacation recently and they were perfect. Highly recommend.
